Our Commitment to a Safe & Respectful League
Fairfield National Little League (FNLL) is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and fun environment for all players, coaches, families, and volunteers. Youth sports should be a place where kids can learn, compete, and grow, and that starts with sportsmanship, integrity, and accountability from everyone involved.
FNLL Code of Conduct Expectations
Every player, coach, parent, and spectator is expected to:
Respect the Game – Treat players, coaches, umpires, league officials, and spectators with courtesy.
Support a Positive Environment – Encourage players and teammates in a way that builds confidence and sportsmanship.
Communicate with Respect – Yelling, arguing, or using confrontational language toward umpires, coaches, players, or other spectators will not be tolerated.
Lead by Example – Actions on and off the field should reflect the values of FNLL.
Zero Tolerance for Serious Misconduct
FNLL has zero tolerance for behavior that jeopardizes safety, fairness, or the integrity of the game. This includes, but is not limited to:
Disrespectful or Abusive Behavior – FNLL will not tolerate hostile, disruptive, or abusive behavior, including excessive swearing, intimidation, taunting, or aggressive confrontations.
Arguing with Umpires, League Officials, or Volunteers – Judgment calls are final. Persistent arguing or disrespect toward umpires, board members, or other league volunteers may result in immediate ejection.
Physical Altercations or Threats – Any form of violence, aggressive physical contact, or threats will result in immediate disciplinary action.
Repeated Disruptions – Any behavior that continuously disrupts the enjoyment and fairness of the game will be addressed.
Consequences for Violations
Violations of this Code of Conduct will be reviewed in accordance with FNLL's Bylaws and Constitution. Possible actions include warnings, suspensions, or removal from the league, depending on the severity of the misconduct. The FNLL Board of Directors will oversee all disciplinary matters.
How to Report a Concern
If you witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it to a league official, Board member, or coach. All concerns will be addressed promptly, and retaliation against individuals who report in good faith is strictly prohibited.
